My Family....

Well I got my wish for one good pic of my family....plus so much more. Thanks again to Brittney Hale. I'm all smiles....literally!

All I can say is....

....WOW!!!! I'm speechless. I love it!!!! Thanks so much to Brittney Hale and her mad photography skills. I hope it's o.k that I stole it off her photography blog. SO that's what they mean when they say "leave it to the professionals". I hope one day soon I will be able to take pics that are up to this level. Can't wait to see the rest :)

Family Pictures.....{sigh}

Here is some sampling pics of our FALL FAMILY. Keep in mind they are "my" sampling. In a week or so you'll see the PROFESSIONAL/GOOD stuff. As you know my boys Hate, Hate, Hate, wait did I mention HATE to have their picture taken. I've been trying to schedule a time for over a month that would work for me and the photographer. I can never seem to find time mostly because of our SOCCER schedule!!!!

Anyway the weather cooperated last night. My boys sorta did.....of course I had a major bribe in store. The funny part of the story is the property owner of the shoot did not LOL!!! No worries though it turned out fine.

My main objective is to get one family shot that is decent. If we achieve that then I'll be happy. We'll all just have to wait and see.....:) I'm sure the rest of the pictures will be wonderful! Thanks to Brittney Hale for being so patient with us last night. It's was great to catch up with you :)

Welcome Fall....

The first beginnings of our Fall traditions. This one being our annual trip to the "Pumpkin Patch". Isn't he the cutest thing ever....:)

Utah Down Syndrome Foundation "Buddy Walk"....

What a privilege I had today to be involved in this event. Taking pictures of all these beautiful children....I am awe inspired. Not only by them, but by their families as well.

I'll admit (and I told Natalie as much)....when she gave birth to Boston last January and found out he had Down Syndrome, I was devastated. She was already going through so much with her life. But I'll tell you what....she has been an inspiration to me. She has NEVER looked at Boston as an hinderance. She has always felt so blessed to have him in her life. She has that NAT ATTITUDE I wish I possessed. I'm more than a little embarrassed....but thankful at how much Nat has taught me....thank-you.

This feeling was even more convincing to me today. Not just by Nat, but by each and every family that attended the Buddy Walk. I am honestly at a loss for words. All that I can say is that it was beautiful....and an honor to be involved.

Natalie asked me if I would be the official picture taker for the event. Aaaaahhh Nat....that gives me major anxiety!! Well I did it and the pics below are some of my favs. Hopefully the director will think they are decent enough as well....I'm still practicing :)

Team Boston....

Isn't he the cutest thing ever!!! This is Boston Newey. My good friend Natalie (Boston's Mom) is trying to raise money for the Utah Down Syndrome Foundation...it's a non-profit organization established in 1977, the UTAH DOWN SYNDROME FOUNDATION provides outreach, contact support, activities, education and information for individuals with Down syndrome, their parents and families as well as community awareness. This volunteer organization has grown to become Utah's largest support organization in Utah with 14 chapters throughout the state. The UDSF continues today to link families together, to share common challenges, and to educate parents and the public in understanding and appreciating the needs of individuals with Down Syndrome.

There is a Walk-a-thon/Buddy Walk this Saturday, Sept 19th at Mountain View Park @ 10:30 in Farr West. Come and join Team Boston on the Buddy Walk. You can also donate to the UDSF via the widget below. Natalie's goal of a 1000$ has already been met....WOW that's AWESOME!! But as we all know every extra penny will help!!

Well....alas here I am once again posting another Soccer Team pic. And YES once again it is a CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM PICTURE!!! Great Job to my #2's La Roca team....1st place in the Rush/Mayors Cup 2009 :)

I hunger for more....

Finishing a book in 24 hours goes without saying....it also has it's plusses and minuses. A positive is the mere fact that the book must have been good, otherwise I wouldn't have finished it so quickly....which it was. A negative would be that I have nothing to read tomorrow when I have a little down time.

BUT the worst thing about finishing this book is the knowledge that book #3 (in the series) won't be out for (most likely) another year....that sucks rocks....I hate being left hangin!!!

P.S. I just read on a "Hunger Games" fansite that it's slated to become a movie....whoopie!! Most likely to be released in 2011....now that puts a smile on my face :)

I just had to laugh....

Ok....I'm not very comfortable posting all of these pictures of me. It's just that I needed to show the humor of Mr. Jon Williams....professional photographer.

First of all I wasn't expecting my picture to be taken when I went to my little photog outing last Saturday. I was wearing jeans and tennis shoes. Plus I'm not very comfortable with my pic being taken....especially in front of so many people. I have no idea how to model. I felt like a dork....which if you truly know me....I AM!

Anyway....Jon is currently a Canon man....the pic below is his little advertisement for Nikon. Personally I think he ought to make the switch.....

Plus I think it's a bit comical that he referred to me as a "professional photographer".....LOL LOL LOL!!! If only that was even a little bit true I would be ecstatic. I'm am nothing of the sort....I'm a complete wannabe. But anyway thanks for the pics Jon.

Also I posted 3 pics that my wonderful dad took of me. We had a great time last week. Hopefully he will join me in more photography excursions. Nice pics dad....even if they are of me :)

Kindergarten....ready or not here I come!!!

OK....i didn't shed a tear...not a one! Maybe that will come next year when he is in school all day. Kindergarten to me is just "glorified preschool". Poor thing should have been placed in morning Kindergarten.....no wait POOR ME!!

All I heard this morning was "is it time to go yet", "when do I get to go mom", "can I put my school clothes on now", "when is the bus coming", "look at the clock mom, it's time to go right"? AAAHHHHhhhh!!

Well the cute little thing made it....and he was all smiles. But I will admit....I'm getting a little choked up typing this. It's awfully quiet in my house....:( Have fun you little cutey. Mommy already misses you :)
