St. George with the Girls.....aka "7some"

Last weekend was a "Girls Weekend"!!! Myself and 6 of my friends stayed in my Hurricane House for a "low budget" vacay. We pulled it together in the last minute....:) We all had a AWESOME time! Shopping, goofing, rock climbing, picture taking, concert going, eating, dancing, no sleeping..... Just what we all needed!!

Holy Cow I wanna do it again ASAP....who's in next time? Ellie I already know your answer LOL!!!! Thanks to my 7some :)

Viva Las Vegas....baby!

Congratulations to my #2. His La Roca team took 2nd place in this years "Viva Las Vegas " soccer tournament. Good Job La Roca!!!!

My boy also competed in a skills challenge that the tournament put on. He actually took 1st place in the Pug Goal event and he was a finalist in the Olympic Goal Challenge. The funny thing is he competed against kids U11-U15....older than him! Also other boys from our La Roca team did awesome as well. In the Penalty Kick Challenge our boys took 1st, 2nd an 3rd!!! The same can be said of the Olympic Goal Challenge.

Anyway....fun weekend. The weather could have cooperated a little bit more than it did....but whatever....the boys had a great time.

LOL!!!!

LOL LOL LOL....so this is a pic of my #2 and one of his soccer team buddies!! I am so gonna use these pics as blackmail. Don't they look sweet :) At least they're getting a good nights sleep before their games tomorrow.

P.S. The weather in St. George and Vegas has been wonderful....so far.

Ok.....it's not what it looks like :)

So today was my Grandpa Brimhall's 92nd B-day. Doesn't he look peaceful.....he is just peacefully SLEEPING!!! I know this pic may be a little morbid.....but it's only pic I got. Last night my Grandpa took a spill down some stairs. We all thought for sure that he had broken a bone, internal bleeding etc. But nothing....just pretty bruised up.

I personally think that is amazing for a 92 year old man. He fell down 6 steps....BACKWARDS. Imagine a tree....TIMBER! He is one tough bird. Anyway my boys went into wish him happy birthday, but he was asleep. My grandma said "he doesn't really look like he's sleeping" LOL!! We thought the pic was a tad bit funny.

Anyway....happy b-day Grandpa. We love you :)

"Lucky Leprechaun"....

Aren't my boys "Magically Delicious"....LOL. So I have a funny story. A couple of days ago I was coloring a Leprechaun picture for my #3. The (2nd grade) parents were assigned to draw and color a Leprechaun for their kids. The picture is to go in a class rhyming book. Anyway....my little bro Tee Tee actually drew the Leprechaun, I just colored it. So after I finished it I thought it looked a little plain. So I decided to add a rainbow. MY MISTAKE!!!!

I colored the darn thing backwards. I knew the color order. I just put the red on the bottom and the purple on top. No big deal right!!! Oh no....did I hear about it. "Mom you did it wrong, It's ruined!" My #3 threw it on the table, close to tears. "I'm sorry, I said...no one will notice". But low and behold here came my husband, he looked at the picture and said "you colored the rainbow wrong"....what the HELL!!! Good grief....(sorry for the curse I'm just being me)

Anyway....he took the picture to school and everyone loved it. Most likely because of my wonderful rainbow J/K....it was because my little bro is an amazing artist. The Leprechaun he drew looked evil....all the kids loved it!

Another funny story....so on the drive home (last night) after my #2's soccer game I got an earful about how he didn't have a green shirt to wear for St. Patrick's day. "Not to worry" I said. Maybe the "Lucky Leprechaun" will bring you a shirt tomorrow.

He honestly worried about it the whole way home. He wanted to stop somewhere to get a shirt. He wanted to know if I had the "Lucky Leprechaun's" number to call and see if he was coming and/or bringing him a shirt. I was cracking up!!!! He said "Now mom, if you can't get a hold of the Leprechaun talk to his wife....if she's not there....see if there is a grandma or grandpa Leprechaun that you can talk to" LOL LOL!!!!

Well the "Lucky Leprechaun" made an appearance and YES he did indeed bring my boys green shirts to wear for St. Patrick's Day. What a wonderful "Lucky Leprechaun" he brought them all sorts of fun toys and gadgets (everything green). But I am disappointed I didn't get anything :(

P.S. My #1 was already at school, so that's why he's not in the pics. He hates getting his pic taken anyway (LUCKY HIM)....no pun intended!!

Snowbasin Ski Race....

My boys participated in the M. Earl Miller Memorial (YSL Snowbasin) ski race on Saturday. The day itself was perfect.....beautiful blue skies! My boys did awesome! I have to say I was a bit nervous. I was just waiting for one of them to take a spill....luckily all 3 stayed on their skis. However, my Buggy, did 2 complete 360's right before the finish line. The crowd went wild when he stayed up and crossed the line. It made for a great finish.

My boys have been training for the last 8 weeks in the Devo Race program for Snowbasin. It has been a great experience for them. I honestly can't believe how far they have come in terms of their skiing ability. But I will say this....I'm ready for Spring!!! Let's put the skis away and get out the mountain bikes :)

I posted some pics and a slideshow. I think I'm gonna invest in a new video camera. Have any suggestions Papa Dave?

Blog-arexia......and some Lego Love.....

Soooooo........I took a well deserved break from "my blog". I needed a "blog break". Plus I didn't really have anything to blog about. I did however try to change my BG a couple weeks ago with an updated Valentine version.......BUT........stupid photobucket was not cooperating!! So I gave up on the whole thing. But as you can tell "IIIIIII'mmmmmm Baaaaacccckkkkk". Isn't that off of the Shining...?

Anyway, I posted some pics of my boys in a Lego Wonderland. Honestly I love these kids. This is what they want when they have some extra money burning a hole in their pockets. LEGOS!!!! All 4 had Christmas money just "needing" to be spent. Of course I said "Save your money up for something you really want". Ohhhh they all knew what they wanted. LEGOS!!!

So I took them to Wally World and we blew all their cash. I think it's great. I truly believe that lego building is not only fun but is educational. PLUS they will help their bros out if they are in need. I played with Legos when I was a kid. I loved it. But I don't remember any Barbie Legos....hhhmmmmm......maybe I've got something here!!!

Baptism Day....

My buggy is getting baptized tomorrow. Whoa....where did my little bugman go? How did he grow up sooooo fast? I remember telling him when he was 4 years old......

"Now listen bug, you can't grow anymore, you have to stay little forever" "If you get too old you'll end up stinky like your brothers"......He has tried really hard to stay the "mommas boy" out of the bunch. Every now and then he can be a little stink, but he will forever be my little BUG!!!

I'm so proud of him. He is a wonderful part of our family. He is such a smart, sweet, kind and caring boy. I love you buggy!!! You have made a wonderful decision.

Finally some girl action.....

It's not too often that I get to hang with little girls. I'm a mom with 4 boys..... So last saturday I had the wonderful privilege to watch Natalie's girls.

I was little worried they would be uncomfortable around all my boys. I was worried that they didn't know me that well and would be shy. I hoped they wouldn't return home and tell Nat what a weird mom I was (I am a little off...to be fair). Anyway I think they did great! I was surprised at how much sisters compare to brothers. They torment, bug, tattle, make fun of (ect) just like brothers. They weren't too far off.

My boys had a great time hanging with the girls as well. Even when we went and saw "Bride Wars" at the movie theatre. A chick flick (I know)......but how often do I get to play surrogate to 3 beautiful little girls!!!! NEVER!

Anyway thanks NAT for letting me have your girls for a day! Love ya.....

P.S. The pic above is at my Buggys soccer game.

FAB already......

Katie and myself visited with Natalie today at the hospital. Geez Nat..........what the heck......you already are looking FAB!!!!! Once again I have to tell Natalie how much I love her and admire her. You are a true blessing in my life. You have touched so many people with your beautiful spirit and determination. I hope some of that "NAT" attitude will rub off on me someday.

Congratulations...

Congratulations to my Natalie. She gave birth to a beautiful baby boy today. A big 8 lbs 14 oz baby boy (all natural, NO drugs). Natalie you are one of the most amazing people I have ever met. I'm absolutely in awe of you. I wish I could better convey my feelings........but I'm struggling for the words.

I just want you to know you inspire me. You give me hope. There is a reason you came into my life. I love you and I pray for you. I wish that I was more like you. Our Heavenly Father picked the most deserving mom in the world.......and that's you! I love ya Nat......

Pink......hmmmm

Sooooooooo.....it's one month until Valentine's Day. Of course we have to change the blog background (right). There is one problem though.......99%........of the DSB Valentine kits I found included the color pink. I don't like pink. I'm not quite for sure why. Maybe it's because I was a tomboy growing up with all brothers. Maybe it's because I have 4 boys (no girls). Who knows.....but the fact remains the same......I'm just not into pink!!!

SO anyway I found a kit without pink. It's not my most favorite DSB kit in the world.....but it will do. So I changed the background along with the header. I have to say I love the pic of my sleeping boys. There is no better time to take their picture than WHEN THEY ARE ASLEEP!!! They have learned to hate it when I break out my camera. Too bad boys........I don't ask for much......but every now and then just give your old mom a smile.

P.S.
-I have also added some other random pics I took with the boys today (just before we went skiing)
-DSB Digital ScrapBooking
-I will (however) wear pink from time to time (just an FYI)

Snowbasin Alpine Ski Team....

Honestly......did we really have to add one more thing to our already overfilled schedule. This week 3 out of the 4 of my boys began a 10 week Alpine Ski Racing Program for SnowBasin. The actual classes are held at Wolf Mountain as is to take advantage of the night skiing.

We are total NEWBIES to this. The only reason why we got involved is because of my husbands orthopedic doctor. He is involved in the program and thought our boys would fit in great. So we relented to his many pleas and enrolled our boys.

Anyway.....it's every Wednesday from 3 to 6 (that's not too bad) We also have 2 races coming up in the next few weeks. The races are what I'm a little concerned about. None of my boys have ever done anything like that........anyway..........we will see how things go.

After the first class on Wednesday I asked the instructor/coach how my boys did and his response was "They fit in GREAT for this program"........whew......at least they didn't "suck it up" too bad.

1971

So today I scanned these pictures. When they were first shown to me I was like....whoa...when my little bro saw them he had an even bigger ....whoa! Now a couple of my friends thought they were of me....I WISH!

They are of my mom. Whoa mom.....what the heck. You were a hotty!!!! These pics were taken around 1971. Before marriage and 3 kids. I asked her if I could scan them simply because I loved them. I showed my boys the pics, 2 out of the 4 thought it was me (thanks boys), but I think nannie had it going on a bit more than your old mom!!!

(My mom's friend Janell found these pics and gave them to her a couple months ago)

Happy New Year.....and Birthday!

My Ellie and I celebrated her New Years b-day at a wonderfully romantic dinner (just her and I) at Rickenbackers tonight for dinner LOL! As we walked into the restaurant I said "people just might think were together" ya know "together".......LOL!

This is our New Year's Eve tradition (2 years running). It's great to have my Ellie all to myself to celebrate her b-day. Afterwards, just like last year, we headed to Zurchers for New Year's Eve supplies for our kidlets.

What a fun night. Good food, best friend, overly annoying New Year's party supplies, and finally a GOODBYE to 2008......whew.....hopefully 2009 will be fine!

P.S. FYI Ellie and I just don't swing that way!

Ski day.....

Well.......were a little slower than usual this season for our first ski day, but I guess better late than never (right). We will definitely make-up for it next week when we begin the the Snowbasin Ski Team?! It's just another thing to add to our already overloaded calender, but I hope it's not too overwhelming........aaaahhhhhh.........when will it end?

Ahnold!

I'm sorry, what can I say??? This is just tooooooo funny! This is one of many videos my brother has made on his new laptop (as of late). He is quite the impressionist. And YES that is HIS real voice. This is a prime example of the mindless entertainment that my family and I enjoy!

P.S. FYI Ellie........next time pause my music player so you can here the video........DORK!!!!

comes by it honestly!

We had a great day....lunch.....movie.......soccer game!
Love you buggy!

I Need to Talk To You

This is a video my dad made on his laptop with my #4. We (meaning my fam) think it's hilarious. I'm not sure what the rest of the world might think, but we think it's funny. My dad has this cool thing on his laptop that changes your voice and appearance. I WANT IT!!!! At the end of the video my #4 says "Watch you Guys".....at least that is how we deciphered it. Oh yeah......my favorite part is when my dad says to #4 "you have white hair" and my #4 says "Yep".

Christmas Village

He are some pics of today's preschool fieldtrip at Ogden's Christmas Village. It was just a tad bit nippy (IT WAS FREEZING). Ellie of course made fun of me because I wasn't wearing a coat, but at least my feet were warm and cozy. Our 2 boys had a great time. They are quite the little cheezers.

It's my Blog and I'll Complain (another word actually would fit better) if I WANT TO!!!!!!!!!

O.K. So this is my blog right?! I can post anything thing that I want right!!! Well here goes.........The last 4 weeks have (for the most part) SUCKED!!!! Let's begin with a small but overwhelming list:

1. My ankle got "DORKED" Up!!! (Soccer induced)

2. My #2 "DORKED" Up his knee. Needed 2 different types of x-rays PLUS a MRI to figure out what the heck was wrong with it. (Soccer induced)

3. My husband blew-out his knee (ACL) see pic above. He had surgery last week.
(Motorcycle MX induced)

4. Ripped off my toe nail (see pic above) Not completely, but as you can see it's barely hanging on. The top/middle left side is the only part that is completely intact. I've tried to super glue it, but that doesn't seem to be working.
(Soccer induced)

5. I got elbowed right in the nose during a game a week or two ago. Pretty sure the girl broke some cartilage in my nose! I can't itch my nose without pain.....niiiicccee!!!

6. Last night was yet another trip to urgent care. My #1 broke my #2's nose........yeah........what the hell!!!!!

7. Oh can I add that I made them get Flu shots while we were at the doctors?

8. How about my laptop having issues. It's seems to be fine now, but I'm just waiting for the hammer to fall!!! i..e. Check out Ellie's Blog, holy cow I would go into a coma
if that happened to me!!!!
O.K. let's try to look on the bright side of things.

1. My ankle is about 90 percent!!!

2. #2's knee is completely fine.

3. My husbands knee is on the mend and the Doc says he is recovering fabulously. It's not normal how well he is doing.......whatever......that wouldn't happen to
me if I had just had reconstructive knee surgery!!

4. My toenail...........now that's a different story!!! I haven't played soccer on it yet. The true test will be tomorrow!!! I'm gonna wrap the dang thing in tape, band aids and gauze.
Plus I'm gonna wear a toe cap. Let's hope for the best.

5. My nose still hurts when I itch it. So I've just decided not to itch it LOL!!

6. #2's nose hhmmmmm that's still in the works.....

7. and 8. Flu shots went fine (other than #4 had a flip out and my computer is still o.k.)

Oh and something is up with blogger that won't let me edit my posts the way I want. Good Grief!!! I can't get the spacing to work right! I can't figure it out in the "compose" and/or "Edit Html"...whatever this is just par for the course.
I did have a FAB B-day though!!!!!!

December Birthday.......

I honestly have the greatest friends EVER!!!! We had such a fab time on Friday attending GOOD THINGS UTAH!!! How wonderful it is to have so many of my friends celebrate my b-day with me. I honestly love you guys!!!

Anyway.....enough with the mushy stuff.

We were kinda of a giggly, rowdy, outspoken and obnoxious bunch a girls. But we wouldn't have it any other way. One of the hosts from the show (Neisha) said (and I quote) "You must have to be hot to be in this group of friends!" (she said after we got our picture with her and the other hosts) "your the best group we've ever had".

Yeah.....we know!
Anyway...moving on.

What a great day of Good Things Utah, shopping, lunch then more shopping. Exactly what I needed on my b-day. Thanks to Ellie, Katie, Natalie, Amy, Jodie, Jenny and Rachel

P.S. I'm still closer to 30 than I am 40!! (Whew)
P.P.S. I wish all of my friends could of made it :( maybe next time. Who's b-day is coming up next!?!?
P.P.P.S. Hey, I TIVO'ed the show if anybody wants to watch LOL!!!!

Christmas Tree Tag....

There is alot of tagging going on. I'm just a little slow with the "tag your it" part. Anyway here is how this one goes.......Take a picture of your Christmas Tree, and post it for all to see!

I took a pic of our main tree. It's nice, short and slender, plus it's very easy to decorate. The other is of the boys tree. It has a soccer/school ornament/Star Wars/Sponge Bob thing going on. They can put the ornaments on it anyway way they want. I don't go back after they are finished and rearrange. You see what you get.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I tag my 2 new blog buddies Jenny and Holly. Plus Natalie, McKell, JeNeal and my Dad.

It's about time....

Finally someone other than my Ellie has started a blog. None of my friends have blogs. I'm not quite sure on their reasoning, but alas my poking and prodding is for not.........but wait.......we finally have a taker!!! Natalie finally started a blog yesterday. It's super cute too! I helped with the start up, but she is well on her way to becoming an avid blogger. If only she had photoshop, then she'd really be in business. I couldn't stand that she didn't have a cute header. I had to remedy the situation.

So anyway.....congrats Nat.........welcome to the big wide world of blogging!!!!

Thanksgiving in Dixie

It all my 30+ years I have never traveled out of town for Thanksgiving. I've gone to aunts and uncles, grandmas and grandpas....but never 5 hours away from home. Wow, they don't lie when they talk about holiday travel/travelers. ANYWAY.....

We celebrated Thanksgiving this year at our Hurricane house. My mom and I even prepared the Thanksgiving meal. No, I'm not kidding, I'm telling the truth. The slide show below will show the proof. It was actually quite yummy. We served nine people in all. My dad, mom, little bro, 4 boys and a mom plus the dad.

My #2 also had a soccer tournament in St.George over the weekend as well. What a fun tournament to watch. The team did an awesome job and took first place. Good Job La Roca!!!!

We threw in a little hiking, sight seeing and of course another showing of Twilight!! I just couldn't resist.
